Through the years, somewhere along my travels, I've learned there truly is no better place to be than in the now. Presence is power. Hi.

In 2010, after completing over 1,000 hours in a bodywork trade school in Iowa and passing national board testing I became licensed in massage therapy. That same year I opened my business without a single client but with a heart ready to heal and help. My intuitive decision to work in the healing arts industry prevailed as a miraculous gift of hands-on healing and my clientele boomed! 

A few years later I took on the title of a certified personal trainer and fell deeper in love with understanding the human body. The studies didn't stop there, but my stationary existence did. I began roadtripping around the U.S. at first, observing my beautiful country's national parks and diverse cities, but after 2 years and all 50 States I acknowledged I had only begun. The first scratch to my travel itch was going abroad and a new intention to broaden me. This began as studying Thai-Yoga massage in Thailand and turned into a 3-month "walkabout" around Europe on the Camino de Santiago de Compostela. I granted myself permission to say yes and in return was given a passion for people. And yes, that means you. 

I felt the curation of a trio forming in my life's process. Deep new desires in language learning, "back to basics" styles of healthy living, and advancing my frequency in the realm of holistic health studies. These are what brought me home to the Americas - Central America! I decided on an island with the Pacific ocean on one side and a dense mangrove jungle-like forest on the other. I stayed for two months and stumbled upon pura vida - in this moment manifesting itself into physical form as a small school (escuelita) on the same island. A community center of sorts, a location for education, for the people by the people.

I believe we create our reality and opportunities come from the creator. In my pursuit of happiness, often smeared across my face with a smile so big my eyes can't stay open, the greatest discovery is balance - viewing the yin and yang in everything and everyone, yourself included. 

May my humble story, the island community, the many who call me friend, AND the testimonials of happy clients be proof there can be a beautiful balance between personal and professional, the give and the take, the experience and the perspective, the hurt and the healed.
